We knew that we’d done some things during the pandemic that we wanted to get recognised but also that we didn’t have the internal resource (or expertise) to do a good job at it.

Entering awards takes time. If you are going to do a good job of it then it takes a LOT of time. It also needs expertise. Award entries need to be crafted in a certain way, the panels of judges may have to read hundreds of entries and you need to ensure that you capture their attention to make the short lists. Once I’d made the decision to make ‘Awards’ part of our strategy back in 2021 I engaged with Lucinda to help me pull together the categories and specific awards that I wanted to enter. Lucinda collated a list including all the costs and we agreed a retainer, I made sure that I included enough budget for myself and my team to attend if we made the cut. Lucinda interviewed several of our team members around the specific categories and then set about writing up the entries, she managed the timelines/deadlines and chased us down for further information on request.

In total we have entered 25 awards, were shortlisted for 18 and won 11.

When looking at awards, it is important to be prepared and have a strategic approach as this will help you plan resources, time and also your budget.

Our bespoke award planner is a comprehensive guide covering the next 12 months of relevant awards based on the successes, achievements and developments in your business.

Included in this service:

  • Exploratory meeting (face to face or via zoom) to find out about your business, future plans, successes in the last 12 months and overall aspirations from awards.
  • Fully drafted PDF award planner emailed to your inbox outlining up to 20 different awards in chronological order by deadline date, category and criteria information, entry requirements, previous winners, dinner details and any associated costs set by the award organisers.
  • One hour 1-2-1 review meeting to go through the calendar and discuss the opportunities and identify target awards to apply for.

Our recommendation is to consider at least four awards per year in order to maximise the return on your investment.

Check and Send

If you are not 100% confident that your entry meets the criteria or standards the judges need to get through to the shortlist, then our Check and Send service is the perfect option.

For just £199 per entry, we will proof read and provide constructive feedback to improve your entry and wow the judges!

The Check and Send service will highlight areas which need further description, testimonials or data, suggest grammar and punctuation edits, and will help bring together the overall story of the piece – drawing out any key areas of interest you may have overlooked and giving you the confidence to submit your entry.

This service is an ideal way to give your application a professional polish, whilst ensuring you remain the author. If you know your company inside-out and it’s a last minute entry, this service is a good way to ensure none of the passion and inner-knowledge is lost along the way.

Full Writing Service

Winning an award could increase your sales turnover by at least 39% so why leave it to chance.  We have a 75% success rate of the awards we write for clients being shortlisted or won so it makes sense to let us handle it for you and generate the best ROI.

The full writing service includes:

  • Review and analysis of category choices aligned to the business story in order to maximise impact and results
  • Client interviews with relevant team members (by zoom, phone call or 1:1)
  • Collection and preparation of testimonials and case studies
  • Three fully drafted and completed award entries, repurposed into three additional awards across the year
  • Managed entry process so everything is done for you according to the awards rules

All work to be signed off and approved by the client then uploaded onto the awards entry systems by ourselves. Monthly catch up calls can be scheduled as required to keep in touch and identify any new stories to include in the awards plan.
